TUNE GURU

So-Cal Dyno Tune Shop

Currently writing custom dyno tunes for GM (LSX, LTX), Mopar (HEMI, Scat, Hellcat), Ford (Coyote and Ecoboost), and Holley EFI.

Each tune is vehicle-specific and a product of hours of data-logging and making adjustments. A few benefits of a custom dyno tune include increased powerbands (both horsepower and torque), cleaner transition from part throttle to WOT (wide open throttle), dialed-in AFR (air-fuel ratio), improved throttle response, custom rev limiters, and speedometer correction (if your vehicle has bigger wheels than factory).

Accurate numbers are a must which is why Tune Guru uses a Mustang Dyno which utilizes a load-bearing eddy current motor. The eddy current applies the proper load to the drive axle based on the actual weight of the vehicle. Load is non-adjustable and re-creates actual road conditions unlike other dyno brands.

CUSTOM DYNO TUNING

Vehicle-Specific Tunes From Scratch

Creating a custom dyno tune takes time. The tuning process consists of numerous data logs and gradual adjustments. Any person with a laptop and a module can increase spark; a real tuner writes a custom tune for every spectrum of the vehicle's operation. From dialing in the idle and part throttle cruising, to getting the most out of wide-open throttle, an experienced tuner fine tunes every aspect of the vehicles map.

DYNO PULLS

Horsepower, Torque, and AFR Readings

If you are building your ca,r a before and after dyno pull is a must. It will provide baseline numbers to compare to after modifications and can verify horsepower gains and claims made by manufacturers and tuners.

If your car is already built and you would like to see the numbers it is currently putting down a dyno pull would make sense. You will see the horsepower, torque, and AFR numbers. Vehicles compatible with HP Tuners will get vital data-logs of numerous PIDs.

DYNO RENTAL

Rate $200/hour

Beneficial if you would like to use your own tuner and the tuner does not have access to a dyno.

Maybe you are attempting to tune your vehicle yourself and need access to a dyno to gather consistent data logs.

You might own a vehicle that I do not provide custom tuning for. In this case you can find a tuner and rent the dyno.
